Research shows that patients with cancer who are physically active, can reduce recurrences but research also shows that the risk of breast, bowel and womb cancer can be reduce by exercising.

Moderate activity up to 10 hours a week can have a positive effect on your physiology: neurotransmitters, hormones and immune system function are boosted by exercise. Since our current understanding of cancer tells us that cancer is an inflammatory disease, enhancing the functioning of the immune system is a plus.

Try walking, biking, dancing, swiming... nothing that leaves you exhausted. And if you have been diagnosed with cancer, it's not the time to train for a marathon. Take the stairs instead of the elevator; park your car a far from your destination, start a gardening project... all this adds up and can make a significant difference for your health.
